Two days earlier I was in Windsor, ON, Canada Motel 6 and it was a total pleasure: extremely friendly staff, very clean room, spacy etc. - and for a lower price!
The second-worst Motel 6 I have ever been - and I am at Motel 6 at least 40-50 nights, and have seen it all. I came late, and had no other choice then to stay the night. The bath tub had still pubic hair from a former guest and was totally dirty. I used a towel to avoid touching the tub with my feet...
Completely disappointed with this place. Made a reservation over the phone which worked really great. I was supposed to get a room with two queen beds and a microwave and fridge. When I got into town and checked in the receptionist was unfriendly and failed to explain that the room I had booked over the phone wasn’t the one I was getting. There was no microwave or fridge which I had been counting on to be able to eat dinner and store my food. However the room was so cold I was able to leave my food out and everything was perfectly fine as it was 7 degrees. It took a full 6 hours for the room to even begin to heat up slightly and I had to check out and leave by that point. Both the sheets and towels were stained and smelled mildly of B.O. Upon checking out there was nobody to be found; just a cup with a sign informing me to leave my key. When I called customer service to inquire what had happened with my reservation I was informed the extra amenities were not GUARANTEED and the price of the room was the same reguardless of whether or not they were in the room. Apparently it isn’t in this company’s practice to inform its customers of what is actually included when a room is booked and treat them as though they are stupid when they call to ask questions. I will never stay at a motel 6 after this experience. I am completely disappointed with the service that was given and how poorly everything was handled. The room was not worth the price paid and I have never felt more ripped off.

Owner's daughter at the front desk became irate because upon arriving I used the bathroom in the lobby -- which was "not for public use"! Bath towels were worn out dirty rags. The room smelled. The bed top cover was stained and dirty. Only two outlets worked. No furniture!!! Needed some sort of small table next to the king bed for a reading light, which we do bring; but no place to plug it in anyway. No "luggage holder" or any other table for suit cases. Morning coffee was way below the usual Motel Six quality. Really a "third world" type motel. Overall condition: shabby.
BTW during this trip I stayed also at Howard-Johnson and Red Roof Inn (pet-friendly as well) and was extremely pleased, they even offered free breakfast.
Terrible customer service those damn foreign people who own these franchise M 6's are rude as hell and in normally a let loose very calm chilld out person who travels on the road daily with my job, and on top of that the rude clerk refused to acknowledge and accept my Motel6 corporate discount number for my discount, as I've stayed at hundreds of M 6's and never had my CP # refused, thats borderline discriminatory and unacceptable, I suppose because im white means that I have no rights either....
It is a totally run-down, extremely dirty, filthy and disgusting place.
This Motel is terrible. The room keys aren't working so while was getting my things they opened my door and left it ajar with the safety. Latch. I walked into a dark open room. My room was in the back right next to a fence. Very scary back here. Then thete was a smashed bug on the floor. I'm hoping that was an outdoor bug that got smashed. The room smells musty and the bed is hard. I could go on but you get the picture
The room was furnished with a chair/desk that should immediately go to the trash bin.
Please don't let motels like this destroy your reputation - and sort this crab out!
